l'art de Franziska Michaelis: Outside Gallery Part I

A specific district in Barcelona - Barrio Gotico - choosen to be my gallery space. In my first solo show at this very new opened gallery I am showing 10 monuments of 10 different cities in Germany. The guys who run that place just told me to bring a hammer and nails, also doublesided tape, as they weren´t sure if some of the walls are too hard. I had to hang it myself, but hey, it all adds up to my personal experience. The visitors had been a little shy, they gave me curious looks or looked at something else (what a shame!). Sorry you couldn´t make it to the inauguration, it was a bit short of notice. After all it felt really good to have my exhibition hanging, allowing this exchange with tourists visiting Barcelona, but all of the sudden finding themselves visiting a part of Germany. As my exhibition is time limited, visitors are very welcome to take a tiny bit of Germany with them... and they did, as I found out, because today I went back to my Gallery to check if everything is still in place, not a single art piece was left.......................................well, maybe the wind liked it too.
