The truth of Hänsel & Gretel

I am fascinated by the unreal world of fairy tales, playing around with their characters, modifying them and hence putting them into a different role. Our childhood is coined by fairy tales and intensive dreams. My installation combines both by mixing fairytales, dreams and reality. What if the fairy tale of Hänsel&Gretel is just a dream and in real life they are experimenting in their sleep laboratory for dreams? At the attempt to discover the perfect dream consistency the overdosed and hence killed the witch.

Come with me to the gloomy forest....
behind the gnarly oak tree...
find the sinister sleep laboratory of Hänsel&Gretel
madly obsessed with the perfect consistency for fairytale dreams...
You old hag, you´re a bitch!
Eats small children just for pastime. We´ll set you a trap then you´re due.
That is the punishment for roasting children!
VERY UNFORTUNATE THAT OVERDOSE!
